Unlocking Smarter In-Store Digital Signage For Measureable Impact
A top-tier retail chain with hundreds of locations and massive foot traffic needed a fresh way to modernize in-store communication and connect with shoppers in the moment. The project was designed to explore customer journeys, dwell time, and impressions across multiple store zones all without external hardware or complicated installs.
By running the SignMetrix APK directly on Videri Canvases, the retailer could capture Bluetooth data and translate it into actionable KPIs tied directly to content and media peformance.
The Challenge
Online retail media networks are booming, but retailers everywhere struggle bringing that monetization to in-store.
Connecting audience insights with digital signage playback in-store means going beyond thinking CPM to thinking trade marketing value.
But many solutions require additional sensors, ceiling devices, or external boxes – adding complexity, cost and integration headaches. This retailer needed a scalable, low-footprint way to measure core elements:

The Solution
The project deployed Videri Digital Canvases using SignMetrix natively – no exernal sensors, boxes or ceiling installations were needed. Each Canvas became both a content player and a data capture device, powered entirely through Videri’s platform interoperability.

The Impact
After 90 days, the project generated a rich dataset that could:
- Link content playback to customer journeys in-store.
- Measure sales lift potential by connecting exposure to point-of-sale data.
