Introducing Videri Embedded: Powering Possibility, Everywhere

At Videri, our mission has always been to simplify digital display experiences. With the launch of Videri Embedded, we’re doubling down on that promise—offering our intuitive platform across a wider range of hardware form factors to give brands and partners unprecedented flexibility and reach.

To dive deeper into the “why” behind this strategic evolution, we sat down with Rob Avery, SVP of Product Management at Videri, and Adam Hokin, Videri’s Sr. PM for hardware, to discuss what makes Videri Embedded such a game changer—for the broader digital signage landscape.

Q&A with Rob Avery, SVP of Product Management

Q: What inspired the creation of Videri Embedded?

Rob Avery: Videri Embedded was born out of real-world demand. While customers love the simplicity and power of our platform, they often need that same experience in different screen sizes, specialized formats, and emerging technologies—like shelf-edge, kiosk displays, and ePaper. Videri Embedded makes that possible. It allows us to extend our CMS and device management tools into new environments without relying solely on the Videri Spark Series Digital Canvas. It’s about delivering flexibility without adding complexity.

Q: What’s the technical challenge in embedding your platform into other hardware?

Rob Avery: The challenge isn’t just compatibility—it’s quality. Interoperability is a common industry buzzword, but most solutions only scratch the surface. With Videri Embedded, we go deeper. Our engineering team works to ensure that our software runs seamlessly and that device management feels as smooth and responsive as it does on native Videri hardware. Achieving that requires deliberate effort and selective partnerships, but the result is a consistent, effortless experience across all devices.

Q: Why take a selective approach instead of integrating with every screen?

Rob Avery: Because that’s not the Videri way. We don’t believe in overpromising and  underdelivering. If a display is going to carry the Videri Embedded name, it has to meet our standards for simplicity, reliability, and performance. By being selective, we make sure that any hardware running Videri Embedded delivers the same premium experience our customers expect from our Canvases.

Meet Adam Hokin, Sr. PM for Hardware

Adam Hokin, Sr. PM - Hardware, Videri

Q: Adam, you’ve recently joined Videri – what brought you to the company?

Adam Hokin: I joined Videri because I saw an opportunity to shape something new and meaningful. My background spans embedded systems and industrial design—building technology that solves real-world problems. What impressed me about Videri was their unwavering focus on simplicity, without sacrificing capability. That philosophy really resonated with me.

Q: What excites you most about Videri Embedded?

Adam Hokin: It’s the ability to unlock entirely new environments for digital signage. Not every customer needs a 50″ display. Some need something smaller, more portable, more energy efficient—or more purpose built for a specific use case. With our Videri Embedded hardware boards and software solutions, we can now enable these experiences without forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s about delivering true interoperability, tailored to real-world needs.

Q: What makes Videri Embedded different from what others are doing?

Adam Hokin: We’re not just porting our software onto another screen and calling it a day. We’re validating it, optimizing it, and making sure that our CMS and device management tools deliver the same seamless, effortless experience they expect from Videri. After more than 12 years of innovation on the Videri Digital Canvas, we’ve made digital signage simple and accessible – without the usual complexity. Videri Embedded extends that same experience to third party displays, whether it’s a shelf edge label or a portable signage player. No matter the form factor, we’re delivering the full Videri experience

In Summary

Videri Embedded is more than a feature—it’s a new chapter to our ecosystem. It reflects our  commitment to delivering powerful digital signage technology across a wider range of hardware, without sacrificing simplicity, usability, or control.

Whether you’re a brand expanding your digital footprint, a partner looking for flexible integration, or an operator needing scalable content management across diverse formats—Videri Embedded is built for you.
